This is one of my favorite winter knitting projects - hand knitting small area rugs with chunky yarn.
- For the most part, these are knit of fine Peruvian Merino chunky yarn, but every now and then, I find another yarn to try - like the Norwegian wrapped chunky yarn that I bought in a yarn store called "Pickles" in Oslo.
- For the most part, I use a really great pattern called ZigZag, which has a lot of cushiness for happy tootsies.... but the Ridges pattern also has a lot of cushiness.
Find just the right spot for one of these - in front of a bathroom sink, as a doormat, as a hearth rug, at your kitchen sink, or at your bedside. it makes a great gift and accent for any room. Buy one in stock or you can request a special order color. I need about 1 month to make one, depending on yarn availability.
